We do Island Hopping in South Thailand!

Miles driven so far: 117,908

Since April 11, 2024, we have continued our journey through Asia, driving our car through Kazakhstan, Siberia, Mongolia, China, Laos and Cambodia. In November, we backpacked through Vietnam, which you are not allowed to enter with a private vehicle.

We on Ko Bulon island!

On January 5, we arrived in Thailand from Cambodia, where we spent a few days on the island of Ko Chang and in Pattaya. Diving in Ko Chang was great, as the photo above shows.

From the port of Laem Chabang, we shipped our car to South Africa on January 14. It will remain parked there until 2026, when we will leave Cape Town to drive to Europe.

We then spent a few days in Bangkok, where we met up with dear friends. From there we flew to Phuket and spent six days on a liveaboard dive boat diving at various dive sites on the Similan and Surin Islands.

Since the end of January we have been “island hopping” and traveling to some islands south of Phuket (Ko Lanta, Ko Muk, Ko Bulon, Ko Lipi). This is now a real vacation with beach and lazing around. We will then return to Austria in mid-February.

Wir sind Insel-hüpfen in Süd-Thailand!

Bisher gefahrene Kilometer: 189.755

Seit 11. April 2024 setzen wir unsere Reise durch Asien fort und fuhren mit unserem Auto durch Kasachstan, Sibirien, die Mongolei, China, Laos und Kambodscha. Im November bereisten wir mit dem Rucksack Vietnam, wohin man mit dem privaten Fahrzeug nicht einreisen darf.

Wir sind auf der insel ko Bulon!

Am 5. Jänner sind wir von Kambodscha kommend in Thailand eingereist, wo wir einige Tage auf der Insel Ko Chang und in Pattaya verbrachten.

Von Hafen Laem Chabang aus verschifften wir am 14. Jänner unser Auto nach Südafrika. Dort wird es bis 2026 untergestellt bleiben bis wir von Kapstadt aus in Richtung Europa losfahren werden.

Anschließend verbrachten wir einige Tage in Bangkok, wo wir liebe Freunde und Freundinnen trafen. Von dort flogen wir nach Phuket und lebten sechs Tage auf einem liveabord Tauchschiff, um an verschieden Tauchplätzen der Similan und der Surin Inseln zu tauchen.

Seit Ende Jänner machen wir „Inselhüpfen“ und bereisen einige Inseln südlich von Phuket (Ko Lanta, Ko Muk, Ko Bulon, Ko Lipi). Das ist jetzt richtig Urlaub mit Strand und Faulenzen. Mitte Februar werden wir dann wieder nach Österreich zurückkehren.
